Leila completed two TRACTION programs in 2018 and 2019 while she was in Grade 8 and Grade 9 at Glenala SHS.

Leila admits she wasn't the best student in Grade 8 and 9 and started not liking school and disengaging. A teacher from school selected her for the program if she promised to attend school for the remainder of the week. Leila described how she loved the program and started going to school every day.

“TRACTION gave me the confidence to pursue my dream” - Riley

In 2020, Riley was actively disengaging and regularly missing school, disruptive in the classroom, and had poor social bonds with peers. His time at TRACTION gave him the skills and confidence to achieve his dream career in the Defence Force.

Dacee wasn't interested in school before TRACTION, but after starting the program, she found a reason to get up for school each day. Through TRACTION, Dacee discovered how truly capable she is, and developed a newfound interest in school and out-of-school activities.

Louis, now 19, completed his TRACTION program back in 2019.

Louis shared that TRACTION arrived at a crucial point in his schooling years and provided direction when he needed it most. His love for hands-on learning found a perfect match in TRACTION's practical environment, and the skills he acquired there set him up for success in TAFE, his first job, and his pursuit of an apprenticeship as an electrician.
