Kennards Hire helps young people get TRACTION in QLD
A partnership to help meet the challenges of Queensland’s young people
The Kennards Hire Foundation has been a partner of TRACTION since 2021. We’re extremely grateful for the support and proud of what we’re achieving together to help grow young people's participation in our programs and broaden their pathways in the community.
The first $50,000 donation from the Kennards Hire Foundation has already provided access to TRACTION programs for 18 young people - with 54 young people to benefit over the first three years of our partnership. This means 54 young people will gain access to TRACTION programs who may otherwise have missed out. The partnership also supports training for TRACTION team members, helping build our capacity to engage more young people through hands-on learning and mentoring to spark their potential.
Corporate Bike Build Experience for Kennards Hire Branch Managers
In June 2022, we welcomed QLD General Manager Matt Hardy and 24 Branch Managers to a TRACTION Corporate Bike Build experience at our Brisbane workshop. This is a unique team building and leadership development experience designed to give our supporters a taste of what we offer young people and to see first hand where your money goes. Our heartfelt thanks to the team for getting into the spirit of the day, and to the Kennards Hire Foundation for the ongoing support.
Kennards Hire joins the TRACTION CEO Bike Build every year
Matt is also a regular participant in our CEO Bike Build annual fundraiser. This unique event is where our young people can demonstrate what they’ve learnt at TRACTION and lead the executives as they build a bike together.
Always a fun, rewarding day for everyone involved and an important fundraiser for the TRACTION team as we continue to develop our programs and broaden our reach across South East Queensland.
